Outfit: Embracing the 90's

All my friends know I love the 90's. Every pop culture reference pertaining to music, movies,  celebrities, & fashion - I'm just all about it. I love wearing ALL kinds of vintage or vintage-inspired clothes and lately it's been 90's vintage. Btw, who is still weirded out that the 90's is even considered vintage? Crazy, right? And I wish I never threw away my floral Doc Martens. Biggest regret in life. I've probably mentioned that a few dozen times on this blog too.

It's been gloomy today, so my morning was slow-going. Cancelled plans to go to the farmers market with a friend and instead stayed inside with a big cup of coffee and a couple episodes of Arrested Development. I just started watching it... I know, you have every right to yell at me right now.

So I saw this dress on a mannequin at Forever 21 and made a B-line from across the room to snatch it up. Within seconds it was mine. It's black & white with a sunflower print and it screamed Reality Bites. Someone had me in mind when designing this.

My first non-drug store lipstick. Nars Schiap is the perfect shade of hot pink I've been looking for. So I had to splurge. I totally get it now. Expensive makeup is awesome.

 You can't see it, but my nails were a bright orange with magenta-purple scalloped tips. 

I've been teaching my husband how to operate a DSLR and from the looks of it, he's made some progress. Maybe more of these posts to come? We'll see!

Well, it's fight night (UFC: Silva v Sonnen II), so I'm off to try my hand at making buffalo wings. Wish me luck! PS I understand you guys are so not into mixed martial arts, but I gotta be real. I'm super excited for this!
