Summertime & the Livin's Easy

Here's the truth: Being blonde is the best. I joke about how I feel like myself again. Haha. And it's kinda true in a way. The past couple years was the longest I've ever kept my hair my natural color (or mostly, i.e. ombre) since I was 14. I usually would go blonde every year when summer hits, because it just made sense to me. But I got lazy and fell into the comfort trap (marriage can do that to you), which I'm so glad I got out of because that is so uncharacteristic of me. I'm the girl that changes things up. All. The. Time.

Like I mentioned, I've been bleaching my own hair since I was about 14 so it was kind of a big step to let someone else handle the intense process, but I knew I could trust my friend who's been doing her own forever now & she started out with black hair too. Plus, she's a licensed hairstylist and knows the legit way of doing things. Whereas, my method was to just slather it all on and hope I don't come out bald.

Welp! I am now a bleached blonde bombshell again and I LOVE IT. I think I'll keep it around for the rest of the year or longer. I trimmed down my undercut too. I'm not quite ready to grow it out just yet.

I finally started watching Girls. And went through 5 episodes in one sitting... so I guess I love it! Maybe I'll watch one more before I doze off. I have some important paperwork and phone calls to make in the morning about a potential house! Life is awesome. Goodnight, all!
