Outfit: Last Minute Peplum

I shoot weddings. I realize I don't go into too much detail about it on here, but it's true. Someday soon I'll share some pictures. I was kind of thrown into this field and never would I have thought I would be a wedding photographer, but crazier things have happened. It's been challenging but I love it! So anyway, I had a wedding last night (yep, on a Thursday) & I was in need of a dress with pockets. Why? Because dresses are a lot more comfortable than pants (duh) and pockets are always useful - especially when needing to carry around extra batteries and whatnot.

I went shopping a couple hours before my wedding started. I know, I know... probably not the best idea, but I was record-breakingly quick about it, which was a miracle because I was at Target. I picked up my first peplum dress and since I'm not a very "hippy" gal, I knew I could somewhat pull this off. I was surprised at how much I loved it! I ended up not wearing it to shoot in but I'm definitely happy to add it to my closet. I'm a peplum fan. How do you guys feel about this silhouette? I understand this isn't a full-on peplum, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying out more.
